Collection: Our Wines from Uruguay
Not only from "mate" lives de Uruguayan... Uruguay is the fourth largest producer of wine in South America, after Argentina, Chile and Brazil, and their wines are beginning to receive attention internationally. The wine-making tradition was brought to Uruguay in the 19th century mainly by Basque and Italian immigrants. Uruguayan red wines are mostly known for the use of the Tannat grape, both for blended and varietal wines, while their white wines are mostly known for the use of the Albariño grape.
