Our Tenacious Tannat

In the same way that Malbec has become the symbol for Argentine wine making and Carménère the Chilean flagship, Tannat is the most representative red wine grape from the south Atlantic coasts of Uruguay. Tannat pairs the strength and conviction of the Basque settlers who brought this varietal along from the French Pyrenees Mountains. Record high levels of tannin brings about aromas of dark red fruits, black berries, dark chocolate and pepper.

Silky and vigorous. A strong wine, a true friend for wine aficionados. It will impress your guests for your next festive dinner party when you will be serving a variety of meats from the stove, delicious goulash, roasted lamb, stuffed duck or your platter of favourite well aged cheeses.

Feel free to explore our unique selection of fine Tannat wines!
